METI: Inspiración y Música.

El primer disco compacto que compré fué “Discography“, una recopilación de éxitos del grupo Pet Shop Boys, al mismo tiempo, si, por allá de principios de los noventas, también estaba estudiando Inglés, y si el booklet no contenía la letra de las canciones trataba de “sacarlas” a oido, las cuales dejaba casi siempre incompletas.

Una de las canciones de este disco es “Opportunities (Let’s Make Lots of Money)” la cuál me terminó de inspirar para continuar mis estudios en lo relacionado con computadoras y/o las Tecnologías de Información, y no para convertirme en un hacker o algo similar, como la canción lo implica, pero si de involucrarme en algo que en ese entonces, la gente apenas comenzaba a comprender. Tanto como para la práctca del Inglés, como para el resto de mis actividades, la música ha estado siempre presente, y de algún modo u otro me ha marcado significativamente.

Cabe también en esta anécdota, que en el tiempo que compré el CD aún no contaba con un reproductor para ellos, mi novía de entonces si lo tenía, y recuerdo que se burló sonoramente del hecho.
